Description
The Salmson 2-A2, known as Salmson 2, was a biplane reconnaissance aircraft developed and produced by the French Salmson factory in 1916 that alongside the Breguet XIV were fundamental to the Armée de l´air during World War I. It was also used by U.S. expeditionary forces, and at the end of the war this model was part of all French and American air reconnaissance units.
I have opted for the Salmson of the American Expeditionary Forces, one of the options of the magnificent Wingnut Wings’ 1/32 scale model kit, as it offers two versions, this one and a Japanese one. This is perfectly suited to the project I had in mind using WP Erwin’s decoration with 8 victories, focusing on the spectacular camouflage of the aircraft applying more pronounced wear and tear, trying products more related to tanks, the result was of maximum realism.
