The 1/32 Salmson 2-A2 “USAS” was my testing ground for bold weathering and one of the most beautiful WWI camouflages. I wanted to see if techniques usually used on tanks could bring new life to aircraft—and they did. Combined with the superb Wingnut Wings 1/32 kit and the WP Erwin scheme, the result was both challenging and deeply rewarding. 

From the detail‑rich cockpit to the stunning engine and the complex painting process, every stage felt like building a model within the model. This 117‑page book shares my complete step‑by‑step build, with chapters on cockpit, fuselage, wings, engine, landing gear, propeller, final assembly, and full‑color photos.
